Plans for the Weekend ??

Hallo all, so what plans have we for the weekend ?

I'm leaving tomorow morning to go up the coast with my girlfriend, to her holiday house in Port Stephens. Long weekend !!

Apparently theres an island you can walk to at low tide, with a nice Lighthouse and burnt out cottage.. I'll bring the camera and get some snappy snaps.

Saturday we'll prolly go to a Norfolk BBQ in Newcastle, then the two of us will plan to hit up Club Troppo on Sat nite ..

Which shuts next Saturday nite !!

What about everyone else ??

Well its 2006. How about I post..

Hey how all you are?

Hey how are you?

Something like that. It about time I swallow my pride and Post.

I got to say, I miss everyone a lot, I went down to SYD last week and I didn't know what to do. I just hung at the beach. Hey glenno Spot music does not sell one piece of DNB vinyl. They say their best customer disappeared in some freak accident. I wonder what happened..

What been going on. Not a lot really.

Work has been good. Im still working for these guys. They are not bad. It pays my way.

Sport. Everton are 7th! We beat Liverpool 3-0! How good is that! Im so over the storm losing to the Broncos. Not because Johnno is a ravid Moron. I mean Marrons! :-) (Hey Jonno did you get my pix message when the broncos lost to the storm in regular season?) is a And as for the Roar, we hope Frank Farina can do something to stop our freefall down the ladder. I guess its a start.

Music. Man this year has been a great year for tours. I cant wait for the BDO (TOOL!!!!) Splendour in the Grass was excellent! I head back to SYD this weekend for Homebake!

Love. Yes I'm Still with Lisa. it will be 5 years tomorrow. heres to another 5 years! heh!

I got myself a new PC. Man I have not been so excited and passionate in ages! Its been so nice to have firefox load in 1 second instead of 3 minutes. And the games!! Quake 4 anyone?

I cant believe how much technology changes in 6 years. And computer cases, I bought the cheapest case I could find for 60 bucks and it came with a lightshow standard!

I admit it. I have been slack when it comes to keeping in touch with everyone, Im not sure if I have been Lazy or what I know that I have to make an effort...

I think this is a start.

Oh yeah. I still have a fro.

Walkabout

Anyone fancy going on a hike? River Ayr Way
Looking at UK Weather this week it has a low of 6°C and a lot of rain. Common what an adventure!!

I just need one person to keep me company. It could be a little scary going on my own.

Peter Jackson fired

Some bad news in the news today ..

Peter Jackson has been fired from the Hobbit by New Line ..

all to do with his company Wingnut Films sueing New Line for not making enough millions of dollars. Most news sites are running a story, i cant be bothered pressing Ctrl-V.

Shame as PJ did an awesome job with the trilogy, and even if the Hobbit is brilliant, there will be plenty of annoying people posting on blogs at PJ could have done it better, just like I will.

Arr it's only thursday, how can the weekend be so far away !

Riding the IT wave

First there was the IT boom when a select few made heaps of money. Then everyone got trained up and flooded the market and there wasn't enough jobs to meet demand. Now they are saying there is a skills shortage! Good news for me :) But for how long...

A Weekend report

hey team, another smashing weekend has passed us by.

me girlfriend finished her uni degree on friday (congrats) so a big night in the city was in order.

i started off in coogee with me mate geoff .. these two girls were keen on us, showing all the right signs (asking the time, grabbing our arses), and i was only to happy to intercept the friend to allow geoff to score.... we did better than i was expecting, geoff needing no time at all to hook in .. my girl was getting nothing but a cold shoulder from me, so she ended up leaving, allowing me to head off and leave geoff in all manner of good times.

i met up with georgie and her uni people at the slip in, then we went to Le Panic in the cross for the rest of the night (next to candy's, opposite hugo's) nice place, here are some pics ...

note we were right against the fence and those happy looking people behind us are in the queue muhahahahahah

Saturday night watched a heap of Broncos players win the Aus v GB game, and had a quiet one

as Sunday the two of us went to the Zoo.. I can reassure you all the Elephants are having a Whale of a time in their new enclosure.

the Sun Bear however appeared to be stuck on a log pacing up and down. In the end we just assumed he was getting ready to make a nervous phone call.

Thats it for now .. next weekend sounds like a fri trip to the awesome mean fiddler may be in order.

not really a stalker...

just a groupie... at least that's what i'm calling myself after people called me a stalker for following Steve Waugh around the Telstra Stadium... I made Elissa follow him with me for about 10-15 minutes, we tagged behind his group, and it was so funny to see the reactions on peoples faces when they recognised him.

oh, U2 were incredible, again!!!!

Bday week

It's been a very nice last few days for me. It started with Tegan visiting who I hadn't seen for about two months. So for me spending 5 days with Teags was the best bday treat ever!

Then we had Tegan's friend Julia plus Dave and Amelia come stay. The flat at Stratford is a very small place but its great when people stay. It gets this kind of party vibe even on days like today when I have to go to work. So it makes every day living fun! Although at times I felt like I was living some strange Tyler Durden dream with the constant human activity in such a small area and lack of sleep due to my strange night shift job causing abnormal sleeping patterns. I now have ideas about installing military bunkers in the lounge room so we can fit say 20 people in the 2 bedroom flat. What a party! You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You are the same decaying organic matter as everyone else. blah blah balh.

Teags and I spent most of the time shopping (that girl knows how to shop), talking (Due to living in french speaking land Teags had about 2 months worth of pent up english blab to lay the smack down on me) and eating very yummy food! Plus we did other activities like go to some hippie markets and other random things like night walks around the city.. But eating lots of food was great.

Then the other big event. Since I moved here I've been tossing up the idea about buying a new pc. I finally got my first pay check this week (Yay pounds!). And then a bday card from teags and my family with some money and a birthday wish to put it all towards that dream machine. So yesterday I ordered my new PC (It didn't take much convincing). And I must say it is so freakin sexy!! Or it will be when I get it. Plus today I ordered a copy of the new battlefield game! I plan to spend my next days off non stop gaming. Sounds unhealthy but I can't wait!

These are just some of my high lights. Did I mention Dave and Amelia bought us a TV!? Much more good stuff happened but I'm way to lazy to go into any more detail. But as you can see for me this has been a top top week!
