After a very long hiatus, Fridgetown is back! Once a abuse board for disgruntled year 12 barrenjoey High School Students, now a great way of keeping in contact with the gang.

Well its 2006. How about I post..

Hey how all you are?

Hey how are you?

Something like that. It about time I swallow my pride and Post.

I got to say, I miss everyone a lot, I went down to SYD last week and I didn't know what to do. I just hung at the beach. Hey glenno Spot music does not sell one piece of DNB vinyl. They say their best customer disappeared in some freak accident. I wonder what happened..

What been going on. Not a lot really.

Work has been good. Im still working for these guys. They are not bad. It pays my way.

Sport. Everton are 7th! We beat Liverpool 3-0! How good is that! Im so over the storm losing to the Broncos. Not because Johnno is a ravid Moron. I mean Marrons! :-) (Hey Jonno did you get my pix message when the broncos lost to the storm in regular season?) is a And as for the Roar, we hope Frank Farina can do something to stop our freefall down the ladder. I guess its a start.

Music. Man this year has been a great year for tours. I cant wait for the BDO (TOOL!!!!) Splendour in the Grass was excellent! I head back to SYD this weekend for Homebake!

Love. Yes I'm Still with Lisa. it will be 5 years tomorrow. heres to another 5 years! heh!

I got myself a new PC. Man I have not been so excited and passionate in ages! Its been so nice to have firefox load in 1 second instead of 3 minutes. And the games!! Quake 4 anyone?

I cant believe how much technology changes in 6 years. And computer cases, I bought the cheapest case I could find for 60 bucks and it came with a lightshow standard!

I admit it. I have been slack when it comes to keeping in touch with everyone, Im not sure if I have been Lazy or what I know that I have to make an effort...

I think this is a start.

Oh yeah. I still have a fro.

I'm dissapointed Matto, you could've given me a call :( I'm on holidays and have been doing nothing except watching the cricket, haven't been to the beach much cause it's been a little cold.
Think i'll have a bbq on saturday arvo, I won tickets to the 2nd day of the test in adelaide (which is on saturday) so i figure if i have people over to watch it with me and drink some beer, then it will be almost like actually being there.
So maybe i'll see you on the weekend, although homebake is most likely on saturday which means you cant come to my bbq.

Wow what an epic post!! I guess thats what happens when you post once a year.

OK in response to your post.

I miss you very much also!

Work
Whilst travelling around teags said we should do a where in the world dhl thing and take photos of a dhl van in all the dif countries we went to and send them to you. It could have been great, but I was lazy to begin with and thought they wouldn't be that common. Well turns out they are everywhere. And i never took any photos. The point of this ramble is you can work anywhere for this company!! so come to the UK! :)

Sport
I'm still going for leeds but I'm thinking of selecting a second premier team to follow. And so far I'm leaning towards west ham because they are my local. The only problem is they aren't doing to well and if i jump on the band wagon you can bet they will be relegated.
As for Roar they might have a new forward/manager but Sydney still kicked some arse last weekend! :P

Music
How was homebake/splendour? The music scene here is killer. Not so much now because its cold but when it warms up again I will definitely hit some of the 3 day mega festivals. Though to be honest I might be getting a little old for these. The last few times I went to BDO it was crap and thats one day. Luke told me at the end of these 3 day things its complete mayhem. Hell on earth. Rubish everywhere, people look like shit, you feel like shit, random tents being set on fire. So maybe I'll hit some of the local clubs like Jazz Cafe etc.

Love
Give Lisa my love!! How is the lady? Maybe she should do a post. what an epic week that would be for fridgetown!

Me and teags are 3 years running now. Its very tough being so far apart. Simply because I miss the lady so very much! We have setup skype and cyber all the time but its not the same. With my job I get quite a bit of time off so we plan to see each other every month. But this is still very tough!

Alright you got a new PC!! Me to dood. I love my new pc also. It purrs at me all day long and keeps me warm at nights while teags is away. What are the specs? Screw quake4. Go buy battlefield 2142. This is not an option. Do it now! It is very good :)

Anyways good catching up. Look forward to next years post.

Work
Still working in the trading room for the bank. It is great fun but very stressful. I'm off their graduate program now and have a permanent home on the currency and commodities trading desk. We trade spot, forwards, and options. The hours are long but it pays the way and we never have to pay for drinks (and other benefits) when we are out. Always the brokers shout!

Sport
Been following Sydney FC. They have great support at the games with very vocal crowds. If you sit in the cove it is on par with a European game in terms of atmosphere.
Aside from Sydney FC looking forward to Manly winning the premiership this year. With the addition of Jamie Lyon they will be unstoppable!
Australia will regain the Ashes in the next 2 months, although it won't be as easy as everyone expects. I’ve actually backed England at 10 to 1 in Adelaide. Those odds were just too good.

Music
Saw Paul Van Dyk play at home nightclub at the end of March. Was an amazing set. Was great to see the place packed to the rafters in spite of it being a Sunday. Apart from that been listening to a bit of house music that Bec has on. Going to field day on new years day, massive crew going. Will be good. Anyone else going?

Love
Still with Bec. I'm a boy so not comfortable divulging any more information.

Location
Living in a nice one bedroom apartment on Pyrmont point. It has a little view of the harbour and the city from the bedroom and the street is very quiet because it is on the point. Only takes me 15 mins to walk to the heart of the city and $10 taxi. On the downside I don't get to see any of my friends from the northern beaches as much as I would like. (Although I did see spicer walking around the city the other day, I yelled at him from the cab, but he didn't hear me).

So let me know if anything is happening cause it would be good to catch up with you guys.

Your mate.

Oh, also, I have some tickets to the 20/20 in January, 4 in the walters stand and 6 in bay 18 - row b, so let me know if anyone is interested.

Music
Most recent concert = U2
Just bought a ticket to see the Pretenders in January - I'm so excited!!!
AND - i'm going to BDO this year, i havent been in so many years, and i'm rather excited!

Love
Happily single

Location

Hey Rossco. Your place is the bomb dude. When I got back to aus I'd love to live so close to the city. Though I'm sure it costs a fair bit. So maybe settle for something a little more dodgy like Glebe (though thats still expensive I hear). Right now I live in Zone 3 of london which is pretty close. 20 mins on the tube. Never again will I set in traffic for 3 hours each daying going to and from work. But then again I did get to save dosh which was good.

Anyways us av cats shouldn't be so lazy and maybe try venture into the city every now and then or move closer to the city! I mean av rsl is great and the beach is very good but thats pretty much all its got going.

Sara - Have you already organised your studys? How does that work? International relations with UNI?

Hey Dave - I just finished my application form to study in France. I'm so excited. It's not organised yet, but i'm definitely going!!! YAY!! I'm hoping to study in Lille because its close to Calais and therefore easy to get to the UK (so i can visit you guys and all my other friends in London) and it's the closest to my friends in Germany. My second option is Strasbourg, on the boarder of Germany, pretty central in Europe, but further away from Paris and the UK.

At macquarie uni, they throw money at you to go study overseas. Some of my friends in my french class have to go to France as a part of their degree, and i was jealous, so i decided to go too, and today my friend Liz called and she's going as well cause she was also jealous! So now there'll be five of my best mates scattered around France :)

The reason I haven't decided on a uni is cause there are two different schemes. Strasbourg is a Macquarie partner university, and if i study there, i get given a $4000 grant. Lille is through an organisation called ISEP, and if i go through ISEP, i pay them $500 and they pay for my accommodation and food on campus for 6 months. The uni recommends we study at partner universities, but i really want to go to Lille... so more research needed!

I don't know how well it will fit in with my degree (I've just changed to high school geography teaching), so it'll probably mean i'll be at uni an extra 6 months, or probably a year, cause i intend to study in Colombia in a few years when i've learnt spanish :) Doesn't matter - i love being at uni! Oh, and I am also entitled to get youth allowance whilst i am overseas! YEAH!

where in France is Tegan?

Great posts guys, very epic!

Sarah, that's SO AWESOME your going to France you'll have a fantastic time! I'm excited for you! :)

At the moment I'm living in a little town called La Chapelle en Serval which is pretty close to Chantilly (if you have a car) to the north of Paris. It's 20 minutes by the express train, which is great cause there's so much to do and see there though still expensive.

You'll definately have to come visit us in London, the place is really nice and as Dave said, it isn't far into the city. I'll have to come and visit you too cause I know I'm going to really miss France and speaking French when I live in London, especially because we'll be surrounded by aussies there, it's so peaceful here. ;P

Keep me updated!
