We head North...

To Ribe, Denmark
Ribe was a very small town which we only decided to go to because everywhere else seemed to be booked out. It happened to be a really cool place. Its a very old Viking town which goes back to around 800 AD.

Two masters in action!

Icecream is good!

Malmo Sweden

I can't really remember much about this place. They sure did have a cool band though..

Goteborg - Sweden

I can't remember much about this pleace either. We only stayed the one night so it was a little rushed. Though looking at the photos now there seemed to be a real celebrity vibe going on!

Stockholm - Sweden

This was a very nice city. We stayed here three nights unlike the previous two cities where we could only stay the one night because first, Sweden is very expensive and second all accommidation was booked out!

View from the top of the TV tower onto part of the city.

The Vasa. An old Swedish ship from around the 1600's which sunk and killed most of the crew. It was preserved rather well because the water is so cold and now it has a real pirate look. Argh its the pearl!

You talkin to me?

The old town.

Next Norway, the city Oslo! Norway was the bomb.

Oslo's DNB massive!! It was cool seeing how they do the DNB jig in Oslo. Back in Syd people tend to do the headbangin back and forwards to the beat . Well here in Oslo everyone just flips out in all kinds of random ways. We saw DJ Flight for free. Booya!!

A nice sun rise after a big night out. Its crazy in Oslo, it never really gets dark this time of year. They sky just has this amazing blue.

Medieval Fortress!! Strategically located on the harbour. Castles are cool...

Some dude with a gun and a funny hat. Though I wasn't going to tell him this.

FIRE!!

Where's walley.

Welcome back Berlin

Teags and I joined Glenno in Zurich, Switzerland for 3 days where it was very hot and we pretty much just lazed around the camp site having bbq's. Which is good because when we did head into Zurich town I don't think there was a whole lot of stuff todo. Heaps of great church's, but there seems to be great church's everywhere you go in EU.

After this we proceeded to almost miss our night train from Zurich to Berlin by one minute - that's Swiss rail for you always on time! It wasn't fun running with a big back pack. Luckily the awesome Swiss/German rail had another train leaving 10 mins later which was an express to the next city and we managed to catch up to our night train! Very lucky indeed.

Yesterday we caught up with Luke and Melanie who were also about to go traveling. Then today I'm going to my favourite store in the world, Globetrotter. This is the super store of super stores when it comes to camping! They have everything. Tegan and I had to come back to Berlin to collect some stuff we left at Luke's place, but I secretly just wanted to go back to Globetrotter. And Berlin is a cool city which we didn't get to see enough of last time.

Matt and Lisa did you guys get the post cards Teags and I sent you? I know jono and Sara did. I cant remember who else I've sent one to though??

Here is another blogspot by my frieds Chris and Andrea who are also traveling right now. We met up with them in Hungery for a bit. Check it.

Sup Peace Lovin Crew

I hate these bloody internet cafes. Nothing ever works. Again I can't upload photos and it keeps crashing when I try to do anything!!

Anyways Me and Teags are in Geneva Switzerland right now. Today we went to the UN which was very interesting! Though for some reason I think left being even more confused that when I went in. Then after this we went to the Red cross museum which was crapo. Right now I'm enjoying a nice German beer, Swiss chocolate and reading my book. Then tomorrow we go to Zurich to meet up with Glenno again. Hopefully next time I can upload some photos as I have a really phat back cataloge.

Lord Divad'er demands an UPDATE on the pursuit.

arrr div i've got no excuse for no updates. Let me backtrack to the last post I did, then i'll sensationalise and exaggerate my adventures since.

Etch, last post was the Soccer report.

Around that time my sister left for Slovenia for sometime, and i've been using her car since, as has mine been decommisioned. Wow, how awesome is it driving a relatively new and advanced car - power windows ! CD player !

It wasn't long before i got a speeding ticket. Heading to this party ...

Farewell party for the lady dressed as the Queen in the foreground. She's going to the UK, and the dress theme was also UK. I'm there in the centre as JAMES BOND ! Good party, I ended up staying at an apartment room in Balmain after throwing up not Once, not Twice, but Thrice ! I even found the car the next day.

Mona has been maintaining it's good form. I've got plenty of lady stories, but after one of them found this website i'm going to have to wait to I see you in person to wax lyrical. In short, "everything is moving forward" which seems to be same thing i've been saying since year 11.

Went up to the Central Coast again, but this time on a friday nite ! and to Iguana Joes, not Club Troppo. I tell you, the place is awesome. If I could i'd spend the entire Fri-Sat nite sequence up there. Good news, Club Troppo may be on this Sat nite upcoming.

Last weekend was pretty slow, had an awesome night Thurs at Greenwood, then ended up later at Mona. Fri and Sat were then both non-events really. So i'm keen for this weekend upcoming.

It'l be my last one here, as the next week I go up to Brisbane to represent NSW in the State of Origin (in mixed Netball) Which is a sponsored fully sick trip out pubbing and clubbing all week on the Gold Coast. Then maybe some netball.

Hopefully i'll get a swathe of pictures. Ah, thats all i can think of for now, here are some recent pix ....

The crew pre-drinking before Iguana Joes ..

Me so very hungover, yet so very satisfied; Stumbling back to the car over the Anzac Bridge after leaving the girl's apartment in Balmain.

Note the sky colour - it's 5 in the morning! i should be still on a dance floor.

PS ... In Rome Total War ... I have a unit of horse archers ... how do i charge them into an enemy unit ... they always default to missile attack ... ? Can I disable or change their attack option somehow, help Dave, brave Sassanid sons are dying because of this stupid default.

Hey all. Been a while between posts. What are you guys doing? Give me some news. Surely there must be something happening back in aus. Its great reading up on your weekend adventures or work or anything!!

I had planned on uploading some more photos but its not working! :(

Right now we are camping at Interlarken, Switzerland. Yesterday we went for an 8 hour hike up in the mountains. Waking up at 6 was very hard but it was well worth it. The views of the lakes, green mountains, glaciers and snow. Its crazy to think its hot summer days back at main town and people are swimming in the lakes, then you climb up the mountains and there is snow! Europe really does have it all.

Glenno also arrive yesterday after somehow managing to escape Bern. Its Sat and I think we are meant to be going out tonight though its raining now and everything is very expensive. Maybe we will have to resort to take away drinks... I love how in Europe you can drink anywhere, in the streets, on the train or bus.

Photos

Cologne (Koln) in Germany.

The most impressive thing in Cologne is the Dom. This is a huge gothic cathedral located right next to the main station, so when you step out from the train there is this monster holy structure towering over you. Its really impressive.

We climbed up to the top of one of the towers which had around 500 steps. It was quite scary at the top as you end up in this cage and all the wind would blow you about. There was also a protest going on at the bottom and when the sound travelled up to the top it sounded like ghosts howling.

View from the top of the tower.

Bremen in Germany

Bremen is a nice small town in North West Germany.

One of the main tourist attactions is a statue of characters from a Brothers Grimm fairytale. If you hold both the donkeys front legs and make a wish it will come true.

Hamburg Germany

Hamburg is another nice German city. The place we stayed at was really cool with around 30 beds in the one dorm room. Some how we still managed to have a really good night sleep, I think mostly because everyone else seemed to sleep in from staying up the night before. They had a lounge area where we hanged most of the nights drinking and talking to the fellow backpackers. There were funny Japanese Americans who went to an American school in Japan and just talked about America with Ameican accents, even though they had never been to America. And a few Germans who liked to party.

St Nikolai kirche. It was a church that was bombed during WWII and is now a war memorial.
