After a very long hiatus, Fridgetown is back! Once a abuse board for disgruntled year 12 barrenjoey High School Students, now a great way of keeping in contact with the gang.

Cologne (Koln) in Germany.

The most impressive thing in Cologne is the Dom. This is a huge gothic cathedral located right next to the main station, so when you step out from the train there is this monster holy structure towering over you. Its really impressive.

We climbed up to the top of one of the towers which had around 500 steps. It was quite scary at the top as you end up in this cage and all the wind would blow you about. There was also a protest going on at the bottom and when the sound travelled up to the top it sounded like ghosts howling.

View from the top of the tower.

Bremen in Germany

Bremen is a nice small town in North West Germany.

One of the main tourist attactions is a statue of characters from a Brothers Grimm fairytale. If you hold both the donkeys front legs and make a wish it will come true.

Hamburg Germany

Hamburg is another nice German city. The place we stayed at was really cool with around 30 beds in the one dorm room. Some how we still managed to have a really good night sleep, I think mostly because everyone else seemed to sleep in from staying up the night before. They had a lounge area where we hanged most of the nights drinking and talking to the fellow backpackers. There were funny Japanese Americans who went to an American school in Japan and just talked about America with Ameican accents, even though they had never been to America. And a few Germans who liked to party.

St Nikolai kirche. It was a church that was bombed during WWII and is now a war memorial.
