Teags and I spent a day at the Keukenholf Gardens in the Netherlands kinda near Amsterdam. Its meant to be the biggest flower garden in the world when for 8 weeks all the flowers go into blossom. We timed that rather well! Mum you would love this place.

Free Internet

Well since Copenhagen we have been to a small town called Ribe where we stayed for 3 nights. This place was way cool. It was an old viking town which now has a population of around 3000, which is a lot smaller than any other place we have been to so far. This meant we got to take it easy for 3 days. The place we stayed at was also very nice with our own bedroom, bathroom and communal kitchen facilities.

On the last night we had a tour with the town night watchman. This is a guy who gets to carry around a big stick and tell everyone its 10pm and you should be asleep. We then went for a drink after this with a Canadian dude where we met some local Danish girls who sure did know how to drink! They where funny to talk to and where trying to shout us all drinks. The pub was also very local with no tourists. Just a very small and old pub and everyone was friendly.

After Ribe we went to Malmo in Sweden for a night, and then Goteborg for another night. As I haven't been feeling too well I didnt do to much these nights, mostly just read my book etc. Though we did go see Xmen 2. I was a little disapointed with this one as I loved one and two. I won't go into detail and ruin the plot.

We are in stockholm tonight and this place has free internet, pasta and a sauna (wohhoo).

Funny posts jono. Sounds like you guys are having fun. Getting excited for the world cup yet? Good stuff we beat Greece in the friendly!!

Weekend Wrap #2

Friday night was the Farewell dinner for Slick ..
He's going overseas to Germany to join many of our friends who are awaiting the Soccer! Blackman "The Darkness" Spliffy Ryan apparently spent $4000 in the first week ! probably on hookers
Anyway dinner was at Molto fino's (sp?) in Dee Why and was quite nice wot wot. I can recommend the Steak. Afterwards back to AvRsl for the remainder of the footy, then hanging around outside.

Sat night started at Dave Baggotts watching the BRONCOS CRUSH THE DOGS ! Queensland revenge !!! awesome stuff
then onwards to Liss's house for the Italian party (hmm overall an Italian weekend) played some pool, general merry making before ultimately heading to Manly .. Timmay drank most of a goon bag and got kicked out in short order. Baggy n Benny soon followed, i stayed for a while with a lady friend, before we all headed home

bad hangovers for all sunday, but still did well at chicken caesar wraps, man im hungry, going to lunch !

That was the easy game for NSW ...

and they only won by 1 point !!! what a bunch of incompetents .. the next two games will see obliterated cockroaches everywhere !

How about the pre-game show ! i honestly thought we were watching an X-Men movie not footy .. they had movie previews and a Whirly Bird landing in the middle of the field then taking off again dropping off a massive X-Men poster..

Every day is kind of a weekend for me.

Its 2am and we are in Copenhagen - Denmark. Its been raining for most of the night but we still went out and had the most expensive beer I've ever had. 80 DAA (about 15 aus dollars). Denmark seems to be very expensive :(

le weekend

good idea spicer, but how about we all stick up a weekend post, then there will be lots of stuff to read here :)
As for me, i went and saw my friends band play at the civic, excellent stuff! Saturday night i babysat *yay* then went to toms mexican party but forgot my sombrero. I arrived to find people throwing up and sucking on ice due to some ridiculous game of "let's see how long you can hold the chilli seed on your tongue." Sunday, i read the paper, cleaned the bathroom and did my french assignment. beat that! :P

the Weekend Wrap (TM) Issue #2

Wow, what a big weekend ...

On friday night me and the Norfolkers hit up one of the fanciest restaurants in the city .. racked up a massive bill, but we got connections, so only paid a $100 each or so ..











Afterwards we hit up Empire on the cross.. One of us knew the bouncers and door staff, so we all got in ok.. fun nite, they were playing the black and white "Creature from the Black Lagoon" on the big screen lol.

Sat nite rolled up, Tommy Moore had a massive house party .. Mexican'arama themed .. turns out we are all Mexi-Cans so we all got drunk and ate food ..

Later on some 15 year olds rocked up .. did u know if any of us scored it would have been "Statuotory Rape" ..... makes u think doesnt it .....

Matto has a nice arse

Traveling around with Tegs and Glenno is like traveling with mice. I have discovered that I eat a hell of a lot more than them. Right now we have a system going where we buy 3 of some thing and then split the cost. This means a meal for them is a snack for me. But alas right now we are staying at a backpackers in Bremen that has a kitchen so we have finally been able to cook some big meals! This means 1 meal for then two meals for me!! :)

Right now we are at Bremen in Germany which for me is known for its hostel that has a kitchen.

Now for two more photos of Hong Kong.

We went to a bar called Aqua Spirit. This place was well classy with a wicked view onto Hong Kong Island, where they have a laser show every night at 8pm.

Shot of a typical street. Its very easy to get lost in this city.


Bike theft seems to be a big problem. There are bikes everywhere but they are all crap. Notice this bike has 3 PHAT bike locks. I think the locks are worth more than the bike.




We hired a canal bike for an hour, where me and Glenn had a good workout and Tegan relaxed in the back. This photo is an example of what happens when Tegan takes control of the rudder (boat steering wheel).

matto in leather pants!

i went to the city last night to see my friend and his band play at the civic theatre. it was fantastic! but what was even better was the band on later that night had a lead singer that looked like a blonde matt gumley in tight leather pants! hehehe! Dave (blake) took a photo so i'll try and get a hold of it and post it.

In Amsterdam we went to an old heineken beer factory, and it appears when you brew bear you also get to do stuff like dj battle (I kicked Tegans butt, the dance floor went crazy) and make silly video's.

the Weekend Wrap


Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Jarrod and Lucinda Castaing :)








The wedding was outstanding .. what more can i say .. Tom took some excellent photos with his much more capable camera, so hopefully we'll see them soon.

Afterwards was my lil sisters 21st, also a class A act .. I'll post pics as I get them.

Finally we went to Surfrock afterwards, which in my opinion was terrible .. but the BRONCOS crushed manly, so 3/4 is good ;)

One thing i can advise ... Dont attempt to break into your own car with Tom's gun while wearing a tuxedo outside the mona cop shop, after locking the keys inside .. and then running to pittwater highschool (still in tuxedo) to get evac'ed by Amanda ..

So anyway a Toast to Amanda, my sister Claire, the Newly Weds, and the Broncos !

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day Mum!! :)
Did you have a nice day? Right now me, tegs, and glenn are at Bruges in Belgium. Belgium is the best, they have lots of yummy chocolates, beers, and food (Is there anything better). Though we have been trying to save money so its mostly just been breed with cheese. Though today me and Tegs splurged on some chocolate.

Yesterday we stayed at Brussels which is the capital of Belgium. That was a really cool city, id like to have stayed for maybe two or three nights but we where lucky to get one night'. When we got there it was all booked out, but we found a really good place in the end. It had a great bar down stairs and there was a staff birthday party on so everyone got free chips and dips etc. And the beer is so good here!! You can buy the best beers for 0.60 Euro cents from the super market. And they choice is amazing. I'm talking two lanes of just beer, wine, and spirits (though mostly beer). We have even managed to get Tegan to start drinking beer (raspberry beer).

Next stop Germany. Have a special day Jarrod you lucky man!

Div, you are the most special Dave, don't feel sad! We were talking the other day about how Little John didn't come to australia as we still have jon spicer, so therefore didnt need a replacement jon. It's pretty cool stuff, this replacement business. You should feel special!
Take photos of glenn getting stoned... hmm, if you're feeling adventurous, see if you can get a photo of glenn behind one of the windows in the red light district... bribe a hooker to let him in for a photo if he's not into their services. that would make a good photo i think :)

Weekend Ahoy

Thats some good news that your having fun Dave, tho' i'd like to point out a technicality .. Your the actual "replacement dave" relieving DBlake of his Dave related duties back in the dusky days of HiSkool.

Anyway I'd just like to say im heaps excited for the weekend, it's our own Je5ta's wedding tomorow !!! and i must say the suits look quite spiffy ... following on from that is my little sister's 21st; a jolly good fancy dress party... and to top it off the BRISBANE BRONCOS will obliterate some manly team later that night ...

All in all a bloody good show i should think, how ripping

Europe

We have arrived in Amsterdam. It's a big change from Hong Kong!! Urban Jungle to Quaint cobblestone city. You really have to see it to believe it. There are bugger all cars, Just trams, canals with boats and a shitload of bicycles everywhere! Me and tegan have almost been run over several times. I will try to upload photos later.

The hostel we are staying at is nice. It's in the night life area called Leidseplein. It's simple but clean and provides everything you could need. The breakfast is the bomb! Yummy meats, cheeses, fresh bread, yoghart, and other dutch treats. This is a big step up after the breakfast provided at our hong kong hotel. I think i've ate enough to last me until dinner. Tonight I think we are going to check out the Red Light District.

Next time Newcastle, Next time !

Did somebody say road trip to Newcastle? Some lads and I drove deep into Nouevocastrian (sp?) territory last yesterday to witness a great game of footy .. great in everything except the mighty Broncos lost .. bah ! we also tried out a quaint old skool pub, and watched some waves at the beach .. heres some pics ..

Good Bye Hong Kong. Hello Amsterdam!

Hey all. I'm currently at the Hong Kong air port waiting for my plane. Hong Kong has been amazing!!! It really is an awesome city. So many people and so many shops! All the people are really nice and helpful. The public transport system unreal. I got some good photos (I think) and I'll post some up next week when I get a chance. I highly recommend HK for anyone planning a holiday.
