World Cup

Peoples go buy your tickets for the World Cup pronto! Applications for the first ballot end this month. Tegan and I just tried to buy some tickets but realised you need to have a passport number to successfully apply, which I don't. So we shall have to try our luck for the second ballot. DNB Was good

The company are located at the CBD, but I won't be there to often as I will be at client sites fixing there problems!

The DNB last night was at the marquee. It was a good night. Not mega packed or anything which was surprising considering its the long weekend.

The weather looks good today. The forcast for tomorrow is clearing showers then sunny on Sunday. So camping could be a good option.

Job

Hey all.

Good news! I got a new job. The company is called AKCS. Another computer company about the same size as NetStrategy. I finish up with NetStrategy at the end of the month. Basically I got sick of the shitty pay and travelling all the way to homebush for a pretty boring (busy but the same boring tasks each day) cushy job. My new job pays pretty sweet and I'm definitely moving out of my comfort zone. Although I'm a little scarred, I'll be learning lots. So I'm very excited about this!

So lets go celebrate on Thurs night! :)

No more stories..

coz they suck, i now realise i am not a professional childrens story book author.

I have been spending quality time down at matts dads house "fixing" the computer (mouse not plugged in correctly) and its so funny hearing eric go on coz he sounds just like matt.

like the way he complains about stuff: "aaaaaaawwwww"
its so funny. no .. it is.

any ways, i have been getting up at the crack'o'dawn these dayz as ive been werking down the coffee shop in mona in the mornings, which has bin preety cool.

We have our new soccer team just started its season yesterday. Fridgetown Divided are a new team on itsagoal.com which ive started and we have been shithouse so far, getting beaten in our opening match 1-0.

The league table is just on the right so you can see how the FT's are doing :)

basin sounds good

sorry about all the camping posts, i had webpage errors etc. I just want to go away and do something a bit different. basin suits me, but if u need we have plenty of maps and info on bushwalking tracks and camping spots in the blue mountains at my place (and chances are i was dragged along on many when i was a kid) anyhoo, anyone got a preference of what night to spend at the basin cause we may need to book ahead.

Camping

OK Lukes post wasn't there when I posted my last message...? But anyway. Lukebo I asked Mel about the camping and she said you guys are already doing something. I can't remember what though.

Basicly for the trip I was thinking that we leave EARLY Friday. Then head down the valley. Stay for two nights. Then leave Sunday Morning. Just to warn all you guys though It's quite a long drive and then we have a big walk. We would also have to carry all our gear e.g. food, water, shelter. So this isn't some tourist stuff. Well I'd say it still is for luke but for the rest of us average Joe's it could be a bit of a challenge!
We would also have to get some maps...

LAN

I'm a little surprised to find that no one has posted anything in reply to the lan last Saturday. I understand though that this is most likely because we are all still buzzing over the amazing day.

Anyway I have managed to come back down from cloud nine and let me tell you all that missed out it was HOT SUPER SEXY AMAZING STUFF!! Can't wait for the next one.

LAN

Hey gang,

LAN is on tomorrow 9AM. I went to the trouble of setting up an AQ2 server with some killer map rotation. Also we have Joel coming along with over 600 GIG OF FILES TO LEECH. The man does need a lift though so if someone could pick him up that would be excellent.

I have a 16 port 100Mb switch so we are covered in that area. We might need a few extra tables though as I dont think we will all fit on the dinning room table. So if you have a table you can bring, please do.

Also don't forget to bring along some food for the BBQ at lunch.


p.s kidman keep your funny stories coming, I quite enjoyed them!
pps. Kidman I take it you didn't drink for Prodigy as you seem to have some recollection of the night (thats a first)? How was Adam freeland? I got one of his live sets and it the goods...

Da Prodigy

Ok, so heres a run down.

Lemme first say that I have no regrets going to prodigy, it was a fucking insane show, but one cant help feel a little let down. I mean they were on for an hour and a half, and fuckn adam freeland support act was on for 2 hr 15.

But it was mental, the entire hordon was a mosh pit, they had live drummer, guitar, and even some chick singing at one stage, and of course those mental front men jumping around the stage the whole time.

first they played 2 tracks ive never heard, one that has lyrics something like "were back on tour, so you can shut the fuck up" repeat; and then a DNB track (what the?) that wasnt too good, then it was something like; poison, firestarter, their law, spit fire(new album), minefeilds, girls(new album), smack my bitch up, breathe, out of space.

So it was pretty cool they got out of space in there, but the show seemed really short, like it was just big track after big track, no building up or anything, like i was expecting some good filler tracks like break and enter, climbatize, and some of that stuff on the end of the jilted cd, but no.

And when i went to get a t-shirt they only had large and x-large left.

so i didnt get one.

oh, and the night cost me about $225 all up.

and luke, shuddup you.

frankie the one legged frog

frankie was a frog, and frankie was a sad frog. you see, frankie only had one leg. he lost it in the terrible hunting accident of '95. frankie and his cousin ralph were in the woods huntin' some beaver tails when ralph swung his .5 calibre semi auto-matic machine gun in frankies' direction and... blamm blamm blamm! ..ralph shot a chicken. later that day they cooked the chicken and ate it, yet frankie wasnt full so he ate his own leg.

but anyways, frankie was sad coz he'd get hassled coz of his one leg. he'd be like hopping down the street and some punk frogs would be like: "hey frankie cant walk, he has to HOP everywhere" and theyd start laughing, before hopping away..

so one day frankie was like, i'll show them, and he ordered a fake leg from the fake leg shop. those ones that spring out like a normal frog leg. and frankie superglued it to his body, and then spent all day practising his hopping.

well the next day frankie was hopping down the street and he saw the same punk frogs, and frankie said to the guys "hey dudes hows my hopping going" and the punk frogs were like "hey cool man that's awesome" and then frankie hopped up to them and kicked them with his really powerful fake leg, them ripped it off and used it as a weapon against them. they were all left bloodied and maimed on the side of the road and frankie said "lets see who hops funny now!"

Camping

Hell yes girls can come!

I'd like to go for a bit of a hike, maybe to one of the valleys at the Blue Mountains. The Blue Gum forest in the Grose Gorge near Blackheath is meant to be really nice. If we are all too lazy then I'd settle for some tourist camping at the Basin.

Right now I'm just trying to find out if anyone else is keen and so far it looks to be just Sara and I (how romantic).

So common who is keen for a camping trip Easter weekend!?

Yay for Friday

I was stalked on the way to work by a massive huntsman spider today. I think it was attracted to my car because it hasn't been washed for about 6 months and I had NIN pumpin out of the stereo. That whole goth thing i guess..?

Anyways what is everyone doing this weekend? I have to fast tonight for a blood test. Then we have MGF on sunday. Other than that relax!

Ohh yeah you guys have paintball. You lucky commandos. I'll sit at home counting my pennys. You guys have fun though!

Trouble shoot PC

Yeah sorry i couldn't talk on phone yesterday matto. Was in the middle of something at work.

Let the troubleshooting begin! Unplug any unneeded devices like HD, NIC, sound cards etc and strip it down to bare essentials - this is CPU/MEM/Motherboard/Video and power.

If still no luck then try re-sit the essentials starting with the mem, just take it out and then stick it back in. Ohh and if you have more than one mem chip just start with 1 chip. then maybe try the second chip on its own.

Now try re-sit the vid card. And if still no luck then try re-sit the CPU.

If you have any other spare devices like mem or video cards or power then give these a try also.

the mans a goose..

Well the day was a distaster.

Firstly, I missed a meeting i had with my boss, for 7am because I had mistakedly left my alarm on set hence not turning at all. Dont you find it weird that if you do sleep in, you wake up right on the time that you were due somewhere? Anyway to say the least, my boss was not happy.

But to cap it all off, and this just made my day, I forgot that I was working the open shift, so I was suppose to start @ 9am. I was playing Xbox till 10:30. Thats when I got another call from by boss.....

other than that, was a peachy day..
